Mockumentary over een groep 'niet alledaagse' mannen en vrouwen met grote hoofden en harige kostuums die strijden voor de titel 'Beste mascotte ter wereld'. De hoofdprijs, een gouden mascotte genaamd Golden Fluffy. Onder de mascottes die in Anaheim afdalen voor de Golden Fluffies is een man wiens routine volledig gebaseerd is op loodgieten, een Texaan wiens bewegingen in grote mate zijn beïnvloed door moderne dans, en de vrouwenversierder Ier Canuck die opgroeide in een commune. Gabby Monkhouse is de mascotte die tenslotte jurylid werd. De inzet is hoog en de uitdagers moeten ondermeer rekening houden met dopingcontrole, huwelijksperikelen en voedselvergiftiging.
